KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 — Semen was found on Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’s clothes and anal region, a government scientist said in the Sodomy II trial today.Swabs of the now-25-year-old university dropout’s anal region revealed the presence of seminal fluid, which the prosecution said indicates he was sodomised.
Semen stains were also found on a pair of black trousers and grey underwear belonging to Saiful, a former aide to Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Dr Seah Lay Hong told the High Court here today.
Dr Seah was today’s expert witness in the PKR de facto leader’s second sodomy trial.
She said there were two spots each on the trousers and underwear that she had tested and found to contain seminal fluid.
On the trousers, it was located at the top front part and crotch areas; while on the briefs, it was the front and bottom part of the crotch.
She said she had been sent several cotton swab samples said to be taken from three different parts of Saiful’s body and listed the areas as follows: perianal, high rectal and low rectal.
However, the DNA profile of the owner has yet to be established in court.
Dr Seah also said that two male DNA profiles were found on Saiful’s underwear. One was his own while another was unknown.
