Volunteers preparing subscription copies for posting
Penang-based reform group Aliran is stopping street sales of its Aliran Monthly magazine this year, and will only produce subscription copies. In a blog posting yesterday, Aliran said cited production costs, collection problems, and lack of visibility on the news-stands, for the decision to stop street sales.
“We hope – and we appeal to – all caring Malaysians to subscribe to Aliran Monthly. Those of you who have been buying off the rack may find it cheaper and convenient to subscribe to Aliran Monthly. It takes the collective participation of all caring Malaysians to bring about change. Let’s be part of that effort,” Aliran said.
