Datuk T sex video: Rahim, Shazryl out on police bail

Datuk T sex video: Rahim, Shazryl out on police bail

Police arrested two men in connection with the sex video of a man who is said to resemble a prominent opposition politician having sex with a foreign prostitute.

It is learnt that the two - former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik and businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah - are now out on police bail.

Bukit Aman police secretary Deputy Commissioner Datuk Ghazali Md Amin said several items that could be used as evidence were also seized from the two.

"One of them even told us where the sex video was filmed and we have sent a forensics team together with investigators to the scene.

"Both men have been released on bail pending investigations," he said without revealing the identity of the two.

Inspector-General of police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said police were also trying to determine the identity of the people seen in the video as well the person who recorded it.

“There are a few things we are looking into right now,” he said when speaking to reporters after attending the 204th Police Day celebration at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) Friday.

On Thursday, Abdul Rahim and Eskay turned over the original sex video and an Omega wristwatch to the police at Dang Wangi police headquarters.

They also had their statements recorded.

The third individual who formed the trio responsible in exposing the sex video dubbed Datuk K is Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuib Lazim.

When asked why the duo were not arrested when they went to the police headquarters, Ismail said: “What offence (did they commit) you tell me”.

However, he added, if investigations showed that the trio were involved, and if there was sufficient evidence, police would arrest them.

“Let us determine if they have broken the law first. We can always arrest them later,” he said.

Ismail also urge the public not to speculate about the matter and to give the police time to do their job.

“We are working on it as thoroughly and quickly as possible,” he said.
