Happy Anniversary, PDRM: Uphold the Law
At today’s Friday prayers in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail‘s Masjid Al-Taqwa, the Imam, Tuan Haji Ramli, told his congregation that we should cooperate with the PRDM in fighting crime and social ills. Today is also the 204th Anniversary of PDRM.
The Imam asked us to remember the sacrifice of, and honour the brave men and women who served our country. At the same time, Haji Ramli also appealed to PDRM leadership and the rank and file to always be professional in their work. The congregation recited the doa before dispersing.
There is no doubt that we have one of the finest Police Forces in the region, although of late the integrity of PDRM leadership has come under a cloud. Right now, the PDRM’s professionalism is being tested by the Sex Video Case involving an UMNO stalwart and RISDA Chairman, Rahim Thamby Cik and his sidekick and co-conspirator, Datuk Shazryl Eskay. Let us see what the PDRM investigators can come up with.
We want these two characters charged and brought before our courts to account for their despicable conduct, which has embarrassed UMNO-BN, the Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, and his government. At the same time, the Leader of the Opposition should sue them for attempting to defame him. There must be a quick end to gutter politics in Malaysia.–Din Merican
