Noisy demonstrators made their presence felt at the Jalan Duta court complex in Kuala Lumpur early this morning ahead of the expected charge of the 'Datuk T' trio, who allegedly screened a sex video at a hotel three months ago.

Holding up placards displaying slogans such as 'Hidup Datuk T' and 'Kami Sokong Perkasa', the crowd chanted in support of the Datuk T.

It was previously reported that they had claimed responsibility over the screening of a sex video which depicted a man having sex with a woman in Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21.

Rahim's aide: We've faith in the legal system

Speaking to reporters with the protesters behind him, a man said that the 'Datuk T' supporters were from "NGOs from all over the country".

"We have full faith in the legal system. We are confident in the legal and judiciary system of the country,” he declared.

"We are 100 percent certain that the man in the video is who Datuk T say he is, and we came voluntarily to support Datuk T."

Meanwhile, Perak Perkasa chief Ahmad Zaini Ismail (blue shirt in photo) said that they were demonstrating because they wanted truth and justice to prevail.

"No one paid for us to come," he said.

Despite the occasional shouting on the steps of the court complex, a handful of police personnel monitored the crowd from a distance.

By 9am, the crowd dissipated, seeking shelter from the glaring morning sun. - Malaysiakini
