Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) will air on a continuous basis the July 9 illegal rally videos recorded by the police to reveal what really happened on that day, said Information, Communication and Culture Minister Rais Yatim.
He said the public who wanted answers to accusations by certain irreponsible parties alleging police brutality should watch the videos which were broadcast from last night.
"I urge all Malaysians to tune in to RTM and watch the true and accurate accounts of what happened and judge for themselves.
"We will air the actual scenes of the parties which carried out the illegal street demonstrations that day and they will have to answer as to who is lying," he told reporters after taking part in a friendly badminton match between RTM and the Datuk Seri Utama Rais Yatim (DSURY) team here today.
DSURY won the match.
Asked if the police recordings would be distributed to other television stations, Rais said RTM would do so if the police authorised it.
