Pakatan Rakyat MPs today gave Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak seven days to call an emergency parliamentary sitting this month to debate the issue of permanent residents who have been registered as voters.
Describing the scandal as an "act of treason" and "detrimental to national security", PAS vice-president Salahudin Ayub claimed that his party has identified more than 1,000 such cases nationwide, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Johor.
He said this is just part of the evidence gathered by a special taskforce set up by the party.
Should the premier rejects their demand, "we will have a series of action. Just wait", said the MP for Kubang Kerian.
"We will expose all the information and who is the towkay behind it," he said.
