The people of Selangor are ready to return to the BN fold after three years of "torture" under Pakatan Rakyat, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said today.
Speaking at SMK Meru during the closing ceremony of the BN State Assembly Backbenchers' Club three-day Selangor retreat, Muhyiddin said this was expressed to him by the poeple.
"(A man told me) 'I want the election to be called soon, so I can vote for BN because I feel tortured living under the rule of Pakatan in Selangor'. Sorry, I'm campaigning...," he said.
Muhyiddin said that even though Pakatan was in power in Selangor, the BN government has never abandoned the people of the state, and would come in to rescue them where Pakatan failed.
"If they don't pay attention to the social needs, of health needs or in any area at all, BN remains committed to fill this void left by Pakatan as best we can," he said to cheers from the gathering.
