Police today warned the people against speculating on the identity of the culprits who set off three home-made explosives near the Duta court complex on Monday, soon after the Sodomy II verdict was delivered.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Mohmad Salleh issued the warning today when sidestepping questions on the front-page report in yesterday'sUtusan Malaysia.
The Umno-owned daily quoted a police source as saying the explosives were brought in by the '901 Free Anwar' rally participants.
"It is mere media speculation," he said when pressed on the Utusanreport.
"I urge members of the public to not circulate such news as it will cause uneasiness," Mohmad told reporters after handing out aid to families of deceased police personnel at the contingent headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
