Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is unfazed by Datuk T's latest threat to expose yet another video purportedly depicting him in a sexual tryst.
At the Penang state Chinese New Year open house in Seberang Jaya today, Anwar said the trio had been used by Umno to do their bidding as the party cannot accept the Jan 9 High Court decision acquitting him of sodomy.
Datuk T is a moniker of three individuals - businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim and former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik.
When asked if he would be initiating legal action against the trio for continuously tarnishing his image, Anwar shot back, "Who are they? Are they credible?"
"They (Umno leaders) dare not face us and debate with us on policies, but prefer to hide behind this trio," he said, looking rather annoyed.
'More shocking' tape to come
Anwar said that he had lodged a complaint against his sodomy accuser, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, with the Syariah Court.
"We are appealing the matter in the coming days, let's see what happens there," he told reporters.
"We would rather fight them legally and in policy matters, instead of using gutter politics... that is shameless," he stressed.
Anwar was referring to a claim made by Shuib in Utusan Malaysia yesterday that the new video was "more shocking" than the one which was exposed earlier.
