Negri MB: Pakatan manifesto not worth debating

Negri Sembilan PKR wants the Menteri Besar Mohd Hasan to proof that the opposition had copied Barisan Nasional's manifesto
SEREMBAN:  Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohd Hasan has dismissed PKR’s challenge to debate Pakatan Rakyat’s manifesto for the 13th general elections.
“The debate won’t solve the problem but will aggravate the problem. Furthermore it is waste of time.
“If willing, (they can) come and see me. We can discuss in good manner” he said in response to state PKR Youth chief Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus’s call.
Nazree’s call to Mohd Hasan was prompted by the later’s contention that the Pakatan manifesto was a copycat version of what the current Barisan Nasional (BN) state government is already doing.
Mohd Hasan claimed Pakatan had taken the ideas from BN.
“If you touch on the Pakatan manifesto, actually many issues in the Pakatan manifesto we have already implemented it. It’s a copy cat version.
“For example the evening class for religious (Islamic) studies. By right the opposition should be aware of this but (they are) busy politicking” said Mohd Hasan.
Prove it
Meanwhile Seremban PKR deputy chief, Dr Mohamad Rafie Abdul Malik, who is the most critical of Mohd Hasan’s policies, said  the MB’s latest statement on the opposition’s manifesto was an indirect endorsement that the it was “good”.
“If he looks (at) our manifesto in negative angle, I’m sure he will condemn our proposal or say something bad about our manifesto.
“In fact he said we had coped the manifesto from BN. He is giving the impression to public that we stole the idea from BN.
“He simply said he already implemented many of the agenda we proposed in our manifesto, ” he said.
He urged Mohd Hassan to proof his claims that the Pakatan manifesto was a “copycat” version.
“Please proof the areas specifically. Is the state government currently giving out RM1, 500 and RM1, 000 respectively to the students who are continue their studies to degree and diploma level?
“Can he (Mohd Hasan)  proof that the BN state government increased the Islamic teacher’s (KAFA) monthly allowance from RM800 per month currently to RM1, 000.
“We propose to give RM250 every month for the Al-Quran teachers. These teachers don’t  get any allowance from the state government at the moment.
“How about on our proposal that RM500 yearly aid to be given to the qualified single mother and RM100 for every child born?  Is the state government giving out such aid?”, queried Rafie who is also the PKR supreme council member.
