BN SINCERITY IS NOW QUESTIONED

THE PEOPLE of Sabah are now questioning the sincerity of the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on the illegal immigrant and Project IC, claimed Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP).
Its Information Chief, Chong Pit Fah said it was reported that despite the non-announcement of the RCI, the Prime Minister in his recent visit to Sabah had instead sought the mandate of the people and pledged to the best to make Malaysia a great nation.
“He promised to always listen to the people and said he is listening and like to do it even more with people support. But, is he listening when he did not care to mention about the request for the RCI?” he asked in a statement here Sunday.
Chong also said that the Bantuan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (BR1M), which was being distributed with the General Election just around the corner would not eradicate poverty and uplift the rakyat standard of living.
“Instead the government should 'check and stop' the escalating cost of goods and cost of living. As it is now we are in a situation when fuel prices go up, essential goods price also go up instantly, but when fuel price go down, goods price remains!
“If this continues, Sabah will forever be the poorest state in Malaysia as opposed to what the government declared,” he said.
Perhaps, Chong said the government should name which state is the poorest in Malaysia now. - Sabahkini
