(Bernama) - A former staff of state-owned sand mining company Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (KSSB) has lodged a police report over a death threat he received for exposing the company's alleged misconduct.
T. Sivanesan, 25, who was sacked by KSSB last September, made the report at the South Klang police headquarters today.
He claimed a man contacted him on his mobile phone at 12.54pm, warning him to stay out of the sand mining issue or be killed.
"The caller said, `Don't interfere in the sand issue. Do not disturb Sri Muda assemblyman (Shuhaimi Shafie), KSSB and MB (Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim)," Sivanesan, who was a marketing executive with KSSB, told reporters here.
South Klang police chief ACP Mohamed Mat Yusuf confirmed receiving the report.
