KOTA KINABALU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Two thieves who broke into a bank here and ransacked three floors of the building escaped with only RM20 (S$8.30) in loose change.
Closed-circuit television recordings showed the men rummaging through the staff drawers at Asia City on Monday.
They had broken a padlock at the back to gain entry and decided to flee after the alarm was triggered at 8pm (8pm Singapore time).
Policemen in a patrol car came by but did not find anything suspicious and the bank staff only discovered the robbery yesterday. - Straits Times
