- The media reported that Haji Hoslan Haji Hussin, threw his shoes at a panel of judges comprises of Chief Judge of Malaya, Justice Zulkefli Ahmad Makinuddin, Justice Suriyadi Halim Omar and Justice Zaleha Zahari as he was frustrated as the court refuses his appeals. The core issue here is that he has been asked to vacate his quarters by MAIWP and he had challenged it at the lower courts. He had lost all his case before the matter reaches the appeals court. Sadly the alternative media is portraying that his action is acceptable and he is being made a martyr.
- I am appalled at the way the media is playing this story. This is definitely not a Malay culture and what more for an Imam to do this is unacceptable. What is also unacceptable is that the court lack of action on that day. Just because he is a man of cloth, he can do anything he likes. If it were anyone else, the court would have charge him for contempt. The hesitancy on the part of the court is unacceptable. Too much undue leeway has been given to this man.
- The imam is now making an allegation that he is being asked to move out because he leaked the story of about the land belongs to the mosque being rented out to one famous “Kari kepala ikan” restaurant in Pandan area and the rental goes to one individual instead to the mosque. Indeed if that is true then he should make a police report or report it to MACC. It has nothing to do with the eviction notice issued by MAIWP. Sad as it is, the imam has shown the bad side of him. I don’t how he would feel, if someone threw a shoe to him? May be he should experience it.
