2008 was a mistake? Look who's talking
YOURSAY 'Don't make the same mistake twice? Well, I must say we should not make the same mistake the 13th time comes GE13.'
Don't repeat 2008 mistake, Shahrizat tells voters
Clever Voter: This shameless woman has the audacity to tell voters what to do. She is no different from her peers lacking in principles, and basic morals, and just like the rest of them these crooks regard voters as idiots and cannot differentiate between right and wrong.
She regards citizens as both dumb and blind. There are basic universal principles and behaviour expected from each of us. But sad to say, her behaviour is far worst than we can imagine.
Any voters that prefer to close their eyes are equally guilty of such unacceptable behaviour.
Abasir: Actually Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has got the year wrong. It was not 2008 that the rakyat first made the mistake.
We have been getting it wrong since the 80s when the constitutional Malay was first allowed to start his systematic destruction of all the institutions beginning with the civil service, which finally enabled Shahrizat and her family to get away with the RM250 million of the rakyat's money, much of which is reportedly in Singapore and a token sum in the hills of Bangsar.
2008 was just the first stirring of a hitherto sleeping rakyat. We pray that the rakyat does not go back to sleep again and allow the continuation of the pillaging. Now that will be a fatal mistake.
Chill: Shahrizat carries on putting a brave front in all her public appearances, why? That's because she is following the footsteps of her peers by appearing nonchalant (her infamous quote "who in Umno hasn't got problems?").
The rakyat should teach them a lesson so that in future no other party will dare put their hands in the cookie jar.
Sadirah: For those who have voted for BN, please do not make the same mistake twice or the next BN leader will get away with RM500 million.
If you have made a mistake and voted BN, please do not be stupid and do the same again. They have had over 50 years and we know them well enough. So give the opposition a chance.
Kairos: Shahrizat is flawed on two counts. Firstly, what happened in 2008 was not a mistake. It was a blessing because the rakyat could now judge for themselves the difference between a state governed by PKR like Penang and Selangor, compared to those controlled by BN.
I would say that whatever happened in 2008, far from being a mistake, is actually the launching pad for further states to fall into PKR hands.
Secondly, Shahrizat has totally lost her influence in Malaysian politics. In fact, her opinion not only counts for nothing, it is counter-productive and grossly tainted, like her family's involvement in the NFC (National Feedlot Corporation) scandal. She doesn't realise that the majority of Malaysians despise her. What a shame.
HYL: "We can be proud of our quality of life, even though there's still poverty, people still have food and are free to make a living," said Shahrizat.
Of course, you could be proud with your quality of life because you stole from us and we, the ordinary rakyat, stay poor.
What right do you have to tell us to be proud of our quality of life? Just ask that husband and children of yours to pay us back the money, then all Malaysians can enjoy a good quality of life.
Giudice: "Don't choose emotionally, don't choose wrong," said Shahrizat. I couldn't agree more.
Don't vote for BN just because you have done so in the past. Don't be emotional. Be objective. Look at how the government has run the country into the ground.
Look at all the issues that are associated with this government - the corruption, the standard of our education, the economy and how we are sustaining it in large part using our oil money, the police force, the civil service, the judiciary, the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission), the illegal immigrants, Lynas, the absolute lack of enforcement in almost all areas, and the list goes on.
Look at how Penang is doing when someone else who is capable and not corrupt is given a chance. Look at how Singapore is doing when good policies are put into place and carried out.
If we do not choose emotionally and don't choose wrong, then the only result is to vote for Pakatan Rakyat. Don't throw away our future and our children's future any more by allowing BN to continue governing.
Geronimo: Don't make the same mistake twice? Well, I must say we should not make the same mistake the 13th time comes GE13. Enough is enough.
Quite frankly, other than the stress, pain, anxiety and agony Umno has put us through, what have you done for us? Zilch!
Anonymous_rb345: Taxpayers, I am sure now is the time whereby we would struggle to prepare our annual tax returns and tighten our belt to save money to pay our taxes, which is due by the end of April. Otherwise, we would need to pay extra penalty for late payment or our passport barred.
On the other hand, Shahrizat, your family received RM250 million soft loan from the government and they invest in condos, properties, luxury cars and pay high salaries to their board members.
The BN government sure made a huge mistake in granting you the soft loan for such activities and Pakatan will not make the same mistake when they control Putrajaya in the next GE.
Docs: So Shahrizat, are you implying that me voting for Nurul Izzah (in Lembah Pantai) in the last election was a mistake?
Take a good look at yourself and your family's shenanigans and tell me, seriously if that was a mistake. - Malaysiakini
