Gov’t, Tajudin fail in bid to strike out law suits

The government has failed to strike out Tajudin Ramli's RM500 million counter-claim in the case involving Malaysia Airlines (MAS).

Meanwhile, Tajudin's application to strike out MAS’ claim against him following the national carrier having to pay massive losses resulting in the relocation of its cargo operation in Europe was also dismissed.

Both matters were dealt with by the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.

Justice Rosilah Yop in her decision in chambers also ordered both applicants - the government and Tajudin - to pay costs.

However, she did not assess as to how much costs the two parties will have to pay.

The matter was disclosed to journalists by Tajudin's counsel Lim Kian Leong.

Following this, the High Court will proceed with the MAS trial against Tajudin beginning next Monday.

[More to come]
