The high-powered meeting late last night between PAS central leadership and its Kedah counterpart has unanimously achieved a solution between feuding leaders in the state's government, said PAS vice president Salahuddin Ayub.
According to Sinar Harian, the decision will be made public soon, possibly as early as today.
"There is already a decision, it was unanimous... It will be announced soon. That is all that I can say for now," he was quoted as saying.
The five-hour meeting was intended to end the feud between Kedah Menteri Besar Azizan Abdul Razak (right) and two of his former excos Phahrolrazi Zawawi and Ismail Salleh.Cracks within the state government appeared after the duo had declined to be reappointed as excos in protest of Azizan's leadership.
According to the daily, the meeting, held at the Menteri Besar's residence, began at 10pm last night and was attended by several top leaders including PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and deputy president Mohamad Sabu.
The meeting was held in tight security, with two checks on all vehicles entering the venue and all leaders attending the meeting were not allowed to bring any in recording devices or mobile phones, the report said.
It added that both Azizan and Pharolrazi were each given an hour to make their arguments, however Ismail was not called to do the same.
The meeting last night came after an earlier meeting facilitated by PAS' central leadership between the feuding parties in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday broke down.
