Perhaps ex-CID chief Mat Zain can replace Hanif
YOURSAY 'Former KL Criminal Investigation Department chief Mat Zain Ibrahim definitely sounds like a person with logic and moral conscience.'
Mat Zain calls for tribunal on EC's top guns
Lets Be Fair: The fair-minded citizens of Malaysia want a clean Election Commission that is not prejudiced or aligned to the governing political party. If it is, then both the men leading the commission are not impartial.
A tribunal is warranted if there is evidence of this. If this is not carried out, the voting system will remain corrupt and in violation of the constitution.
Anonymous 6137549876: If the duo, Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof and Wan Ahmad Wan Omar holding the highest positions in EC as chairman and deputy chairman respectively, had deceived the country's highest institutions - the Agong and the Conference of Malay Rulers - then it doesn't take much to deceive the Malaysian electorate.
They must be worse than ordinary crooks. Only crooks of the highest order dare declare their work as the world's cleanest electoral roll.
Obviously matching the world's cleanest electoral roll must be the world's best democracy, Malaysia.
Anonymous #39631158: Former Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Mat Zain Ibrahim definitely sounds like a person with logic and moral conscience.
More is yet to be seen on how he can contribute to the political landscape, but as long as he's pushing for justice, fairness and the truth, I will always consider him to be a hero.
Keep it up, Mat Zain. We need more Malaysians like you.
Anonymous #06659895: Brother Mat Zain, you are right on the spot. Yes, take legal action. Just let us know the account number to bank in the money for your legal costs and it will not lack contributors.
Mat Zain can lead the way. We only want free, fair and clean electoral rolls. Nothing less.
Anonymous #37634848: May I recommend Mat Zain, the honest citizen, to replace former inspector-general of police Hanif Omar as head of the panel to review Bersih 3.0?
Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, can you look into this suggestion from the citizens?
Anonymous_3ec6: Why is there an elegant silence from Perkasa and Jati in this case of deceiving the royalty, an institution which they claim to protect with their last drop of blood?
Damn hypocrites. Any right-minded member of these organisations should ask their respective leaders what their stand is on this matter.
The Time Is Now, Get Ready: Mat Zain, the general election is very near, and you are a bit late to record your interest to run as a candidate.
Of course, BN don't want you nor need you, so now you see everything wrong within the ruling party, and everyone in the police force as well as the EC.
You should have joined the Bersih 3.0 rally, but then again no, that's out of character for you, you might have started beating up the protesters, it's in your blood.
Onyourtoes: At the end of this piece, Mat Zain had made specific allegations that he had seen for himself how "evidence in the Anwar 'black-eye incident' investigation in 1998 was manipulated, fabricated and concealed so deliberately and blatantly by the person who later was appointed as the AG (attorney-general) in 2002 and who still is".
How can any government ever retain any element of credibility in face of such allegations? How can the sitting AG continue to go on doing his duty in the light of such allegations?
One way or another, these allegations must be proven right or wrong. The government and the AG owe this nation this minimum decency, a standard so minimum even common folk like anyone of us would have honoured it.
So please, you high and mighty top officials and ministers, don't lecture us, and don't ever talk down to us.
Anonymous #88396047: Good on you, Mat Zain. Malaysia certainly need more people, especially committed and responsible citizens like you to voice their concerns about this undemocratic government of Umno-BN.
Please remember to vote out this government that is so selfish and irresponsible come GE13.
Paul Warren: This is about ‘ketuanan Melayu' Umno. They are above the Agong and the Conference of Malay Rulers.
Even the rulers agree. That is why so far nothing has happened since the discovery of this deceit against the Agong and the Malay rulers. It's just a matter of time before Umno does away with royalty.
Malaysian Bersih: Can any of the PKR leaders lodge a police report against the EC head and his deputy for cheating the sultans/Agong?
It is a very serious offence both have committed and they can be labelled as traitors of the country.
How can the rakyat feel safe with traitors working for the government of the day, be it Pakatan Rakyat or BN?
PKR, this is a very good chance to file an injunction on both of them. I hope both of them will not be the cause for the rakyat to launch Bersih 4.0.
20121221Disaster: But the problem is our Agong and sultans somehow seem like they are being controlled or isolated by the Umno government.
And our Agong and sultans seem to have become inactive when it comes to defending the rakyat. Is our newly installed Agong any different?
One Hand Cover the Sky: If this incident happened in Thailand, both of them would surely be put behind bars for at least 25 years.
For hoodwinking our beloved Agong and also the rakyat, I would recommend life sentences for both of them. - Malaysiakini
