In Raja Petra's recent article PKR's secret succession plan, he cooked up an internal conspiracy whereby there was a plot to politically assassinate Nurul Izzah by the party's top brass.
Not only is it terribly wrong and mischievous, it looks like dear RPK is a 'big' fan of Raja Nong Chik - Izzah's sure-to-be Umno rival for the Lembah Pantai seat.
Firstly, the PKR top brass is president Wan Azizah, adviser Anwar Ibrahim and deputy president Azmin Ali. Even if Azmin is not close to Izzah, no way Anwar or Wan Azizah will take such a plan sitting down. Have you gone insane, RPK? Nurul is their daughter. Even Mahathir Mohamad - surely one of RPK's bosses - would give tooth and nail to have a daughter like Nurul Izzah to carry on his legacy.
Sure, Marina Mahathir is a fine daughter in her own way but her ideologies are different from her father's. As for son Mukhriz Mahathir, fat chances of him making it big without his dad to pull strings. And sorry to say this - Mahathir's time in this world is running out fast.
Zaid who?
RPK also mentioned Zaid Ibrahim as being anpother victim of the PKR top brass conspiracy. Here too you are wrong! Chances were given for 'whiskey Zaid' to fast forward his rise in the Party (remember the Hulu Selangor by-election). Yet, the ingrate went for the after-kill and Anwar's jugular in the PKR party election without any rhyme or reason at all. Needless to say, it ended with Zaid losing everything.
Even in KITA party, which Zaid founded himself, he is lowly regarded and was almost thrown out from his own party. He was given a new lease of life by the KITA steering committee only because of his money and that's the reason why he is still there.
Battle royale at Lembah Pantai
Coming back to the Battle Royale between Nurul Izzah and her challenger for Lembah Pantai, Raja Nong Chik, RPK said based on past results she stands little chance of winning because RNC is splashing big money around to fool the voters.
According to RPK, RNC is gaining ground over Nurul Izzah and PKR is not doing anything about it.
Well, RPK - you are dead wrong. What PKR and Pakatan Rakyat are doing is make Barisan Nasional run in circles by their expose's and revelations. Fine examples include the Shahrizat Cowgate RM250 mil NFC corruption debacle.
Certainly, the rakyat (people) have a civil duty to understand the consequences of the extensive corruption that the whole of the BN Cabinet now and before have been indulging in. Soon, these BN leaders will disintegrate this country and sent it to bankruptcy with their vile corruption.
Lembah Pantai has a huge electorate of urban voters who are aware of what BN is doing to the people and the country. They have already rejected BN in 2008 and it will be uphill for Raja Nong Chik and not Nurul Izzah in the next general election.
Shahrizat factor
Again, don't forget about the woman scorned by RNC, the disgraced Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Jalil. She too will make sure Raja Nong Chik picks his marbles all around Lembah Pantai as the adage "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" will surely be applied.
Scorned has Shahrizat and her family been by what he did to her by on the NFC scandal as well as by going behind her back to woo the Lembah Pantai voters to his side. Raja Nong Chik will be the Umno non-winnable candidate for BN! That he certainly will be!
The Kiss of Death to Umno
Let me tell you all a secret. When it was evident that Anwar would be falsely incriminated and jailed for Sodomy II, Pakatan was prepared for all eventualities so much so the person to replace Anwar could have been Nurul Izzah.
And to Umno, this would have been the kiss of death - given Izzah's popularity, her impeccable record without scandals and above all, being young and a woman to boot.
Umno knows only too well it may be better to fight an old battle-worn horse than a young intelligent Malay woman who will give them a run for their money with the young electorate. No wonder, Najib and Co. decided it was better to face Anwar at GE-13 after all.
An appointment with Destiny
So you see my dear RPK and other fellow Malaysians - how can Nurul Izzah be replaced in PKR?
Whether she likes it or not, politics is her destiny. And in the near future, whether or not Anwar makes it in GE-13, she will one day be the Prime Minister and complete Anwar's legacy. Obviously, to the dismay of Mahathir Mohamad, who will turn in his grave with envy.
As for you, my dear RPK, you too will be a has-been with or without Malaysia Today and Umno thanks to your scurrilous lies, while Izzah will ride strong with her youth and the might of the right on her side. What say, you guys?
