Arrested paranormal practitioner Syed Abdullah Syed Hussein, who runs the Uncleseekers blog, has tested positive for morphine, police said today.
The Johor Criminal Investigation Department said in a statement that the urine test was conducted on Syed Abdullah at 1.25pm today at the Nusajaya district police headquarters.
"A police report has been made and the case is being investigated by the Nusajaya Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," said the statement.
Johor police yesterday announced the arrest of Syed Abdullah over alleged defamation of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, via postings on his blog.
He was arrested, along with a woman, Siti Nadhirah Mohd Zain, at 9.45pm on Wednesday at the Senawang toll plaza in Seremban by policemen from Nusajaya.
A Johor police statement said Syed Abdullah and Siti Nadhirah were arrested for an investigation under Section 8(1)(d) of the Official Secrets Act 1972.
The Johor police obtained an order from the Johor Baru magistrate's court yesterday under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code to remand them for four days to assist in the investigation.
Last Sunday, 30 individuals lodged a police report over the postings on Syed Abdullah's blog, alleging that they were provocative and seditious and had humiliated the Sultan of Johor.
