TEMERLOH, July 16 — Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said the state government has adopted a similar approach taken by the Barisan Nasional federal government in providing help to those in need, regardless of any specific season.
He said differing political views, race or religion did not affect provision for assistance, whereby the amount would depend on the state government’s revenue.
“This is a token from the state government to the people and it is given to all races without bias,” he said when presenting contributions to 561 less fortunate Chinese community in Triang, at the Bera Rakan Muda Complex, here today.
Adnan also said the state government did not set a target or specific season during which to help the people of the state.
“This programme to help those in need is continuous, as long as there is a target group, the government will provide assistance and increase aid should it be insufficient,” he added. — Bernama
