TERESA KOK, you are not sincere - MCA

TERESA KOK, you are not sincere - MCA
I urge Selangor Exco Teresa Kok to be sincere in solving the water shortage problems besieging Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya and not turn a blind eye to the people’s hardships nor politicize the matter.
The Pakatan Selangor government had resorted to propaganda on announcing a takeover of Syabas’ operations from the federal government. However this move does not completely solve the water scarcity problem.
The Selangor state administration is denying an indisputable fact. Newspaper reports have highlighted the hardships endured, discontented voices of consumers experiencing water shortage.
Rather than address the issue, the Selangor state government politicizes the issue and throws the blame unto the Barisan Nasional federal government. As the ruling authority, the Selangor state government should not attempt to shirk responsibility by reacting in this manner.
DAP excos shirk responsibility
Yesterday, Teresa Kok had ridiculously claimed that the federal government and the Selangor water concessionaire Syabas were colluding to take advantage of the coming general elections by creating water problems to cause panic among the public so that BN can recapture Selangor. Besides that, state exco Ronnie Liu had also visited the dams and had the audacity to say that Selangor was not facing any water shortages.
These irresponsible propaganda and political statements only prove that they are unwilling to take the blame. The water shortage cannot be denied as the media has been reporting on the complaints of the public in the region. Water shortages are bound to seriously affect the people’s daily lives, and the state government’s priority should be to solve the people’s hardships. Unfortunately, it is pitiful that the Pakatan Selangor state government is not seeking a solution to this problem, but rather, is more focused on trying to cover up their incapability and are thus ignoring the voices of the 5.7 million people in Selangor.
The Minister of Green Technology, Energy and Water Dato Peter Chin Fah Kui today announced that the Cabinet has set up a special committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resolve the water crisis problem in Selangor. I believe that BN will be able to resolve the water supply problem. This will show the determination and responsibility of BN in addressing people’s hardships brought on by the Pakatan state government.
