LATEST NEWS from the UMNO Action Room (2)!
Happy Eid al-Adha.
Continuing from yesterday's post.
Several ministers and deputy ministers are expected to lose in their respective constituencies if they are not given safe seats to contest.
Najib Altantuya is desperate to ensure that only those who strongly support him and those who despise his deputy, Muhyiddin Yassin are retained. Those who support Muhyiddin will be eliminated by contesting in Opposition held strongholds or Opposition sure win seats. Among the hot names revealed are Chor Chee Heung in Alor Setar parliamentary, Joseph Salang Gandum in Julau and Kong Cho Ha in Lumut.
In addition, Palanivel who is expected to contest in Cameron Highlands will face defeat while his senate position currently held will not be reinstated.
Muhyiddin is expected to make sure Selangor remains in the hands of the Opposition, Pakatan Rakytat but maybe with a smaller majority.
Muhyiddin's secret alliance with the Election Commission (EC) is to ensure that the Barisan Nasional (BN) will be retained to administer the nation while the Opposition may have a bigger representation.
Najib Altantuya has demanded the EC to remove the list of voters who will vote for PR within a week before the date of the election to create chaos similarly like what happen during the Hulu Selangor by-election. Najib Altantuya want BN to win with a slim majority of 25 to 29 seats.
Muhyiddin wants BN to win only 24 to 28 seats compared to 20 seats in the previous state assembly elections during GE12. Selangor has 56 seat.
It is Muhyiddin's tactic to demand for the removal of Najib Altantuya by asking for his resignation, not only as Umno state chairman but as the prime minister too after the poor performance of Najib Altantuya after the GE13 election results.
Muhyiddin desperately wants to remove Nor Omar, Zin Mohamed and and Rahman Palil.
Muhyiddin wants to appoint Syabas CEO Rozali Ismail as a Umno candidate and he be appointed Mentri Besar if UMNO/BN manage to suddenly capture Selangor.
Rozali is the 'standby' candidate if everyone else fails.
Election Commission is unable to give a guarantee but have been attempting to fulfill the desires of Najib Altantuya and Muhyiddin in altering the election list although it is uncertain that the EC will carry out this instruction for fear of drastic repercussions.
So what will happen with Selangor results?
The Opposition coalition, Pakatan Rakyat will remain in power but only after scraping to secure between 27 to 31 seats with several PAS assemblyman from Pakatan Rakyat losing their seats.
UMNO/BN is hoping of a similar situation that had occurred in Perak where it had managed to topple the democratic elected government with the "buying off" of their elected assemblypersons.
To be Continued.....
