KUALA LUMPUR -- PAS is in utter confusion over its stand on whether to revert to its original struggle or continue to play second fiddle to opposition partners, said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
If Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Shahnon Ahmad and PAS deputy spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din's criticisms were anything to go by, he said it was clear the party had deviated from its struggle to uphold 'ad-din' (righteousness of religion).
"This proves that there is a group within PAS, wanting to go back to the roots of its struggle.
"It shows that there is a group which is still 'taksub' (obsessed) with the roots of its struggle and cannot accept what is happening now," he told reporters at Parliament lobby Tuesday.
