SHAH ALAM -- The Selangor government will table two white papers - the restructuring of Talam Corporation Berhad (Talam) debt and water services industry - at a special session of the state assembly on Nov 19 at the latest.
Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said he was awaiting the consent of the Sultan of Selangor on the proposed special session.
He said the white paper on Talam debt restructuring had been submitted to the Selangor State Assembly office along with an audit report by KPMG Transaction & Restructuring Sdn Bhd and documents related to Talam debt repayments to the state government.
"The white paper on water restructuring exercise entails documents on the outcome of discussions with the federal government and all correspondence that prove the state government is committed in taking over water services from concession companies," he told reporters after chairing the state executive council meeting here Wednesday.
