I am not at all perturbed by the claim from various parties that they are the righteous sultan of Sulu, Borneo or Sabah. Such claims are absurd, full of craps!
Furthermore, it came decades after international delineation of states came into effect. I am more 'disturbed' by one issue - why only now that those parties put forward such claims on our territory? Its really mind boggling.
The manner in which our security personnel, both the police and armed forces, manage the intrusion of the armed 'Sulu sultanate army' more than a week ago, is also another stinking chapter, especially to the Home Ministry.
Some say we are being to soft and lenient to them while others described it as something to 'withdraw the attention on RCI Sabah. I reserve my comment but would like to remind the authority that those people are here to stay and to take our legitimate region.
Apart from Sultan Kiram, someone else is also claiming to be the righteous sultan of Suluand North Borneo.
If we are willing to recognise these people as the righteous of the throne, may as well we re-consider the demand by this Raja Noor Jan Shah (picture) who claims as the righteous person to the Melaka sultanate!
Remember him? He gained wide publicity about three years ago.
Are we going to recognise him as well?
(Someone did make similar claim during the 1980s... as a Sultan Melaka. I forgot his name but he owned a small house in Cheras and rode only on his 1968 Raleigh bicycle. He passed away during the late 1970s).
Who else wants to become a sultan? I know some 'Sutans', most of them in Penang!

LAHAD DATU: A claimant to the North Borneo Sulu Sultanate is disputing the claim of a Sulu armed group that Sabah was their ancestral homeland. This guy stays in Malaysia and is a Malaysian citizen but he burnt a Sabah flag. Imagine if the world recognises his 'kingdom'! Do we need such a 'sultan'?
“My family is the rightful owner of the throne,” said the 45-year-old Lahad Datu businessman Datu Abdul Rajak Aliuddin (pic), who has proclaimed himself as the sixth Sultan of North Borneo.
The controversial Rajak has been detained and charged for burning the Sabah flag and raising the North Borneo Sultanate flag with the lion symbol.
He said that the Sulu armed group led by Raja Muda Azzimudie Kiram, the brother of the Philippines based Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram, had no right to claim Sabah, which was previously known as North Borneo.
“My father Aliuddin Agas was recognised as the fifth Sultan of North Borneo.
