The controversial witness in the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder trial P Balasubramaniam (pic) has returned to Malaysia after spending years in self-exile following threats on his life after his shocking revelations about the murder saga.
Upon touching down at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Bala was mobbed by well-wishers, and again said that his first statutory declaration in which he quoted Abdul Razak Baginda, former aide to prime minister Najib Razak who was acquitted of the murder charge, as saying that the latter had sexual relationship with the Mongolian woman.
Bala had however issued a second SD under suspicious circumstances.
"I'm sorry to all of you that the second SD is not true,” he told a press conference.
Bala went missing with his family, before it was revealed that he had been paid by controversial businessman Deepak Jaikishan.
Deepak has recently admitted details of his involvement in getting Bala to retract the first SD after requests from Najib and wife Rosmah Mansor.
Bala however said he would not cooperate with Deepak.
