SAIL....The Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City Datuk Abidin Madingkir and State Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Bolkiah Ismail on board the yacht during the 'sail-past ceremony' in conjunction with the Kota Kinabalu city-day sunset sea parade. Also on board was Deputy Tourism Minister of Malaysia Dato Dr James Dawos Mamit.

THE 2ND of February 2013 marked the 13th Anniversary of the Kota Kinabalu becoming a city. To celebrate this anniversary, the Kota Kinabalu City Hall on Saturday organized a Sunset Sea Parade for the first time at the Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu.
In his speech Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir said that Kota Kinabalu has undergone tremendous changes and development since its elevation to city status 13 years ago.
Abidin said that the City Hall will step up its efforts to turn the city into an even more beautiful and clean city to make it a truly livable and attractive city.
At the Sunset Sea Parade, the public was treated to variety of performances including a sail-past by a flotilla of boats to the marina jetty at Jesselton Point to the beat of a rousing brass band music. (Insight Sabah)
