Malaysian Opposition lawmakers pointed out to Prime Minister Najib Razak's government that it was in "no position" to determine if the Filipino passport held by pyramid-scheme manager Manuel Amalilio was fake or authentic, saying that was the job of the Philippine authorities.
"The Malaysian government's delay in delivering Amalilio to the Philippines to stand trial is prolonging the anger and suffering of the Filipino victims, who are mostly Muslims from the Southern Philippines. We urge the PM to act swiftly in order to preserve the good relations with our ASEAN neigbour," PKR MP for Batu Tian Chua told a press conference.
