KKK racist ex-judge now says: I love ALL Malaysians
The term jihad (holy war) should not only be interpreted as waging war, but also to fight for transformation from bad to good, said former Court of Appeal judge Mohd Noor Abdullah.
In an interview with BernamaTV on Wednesday night, Mohd Noor said his call for jihad was made to save Malaysians from falling into the pits of internal conflict, and not as a threat.
"I love my race, my children and grandchildren, my descendants and all Malaysians. Our country is peaceful and there are no natural disasters.
"What I am afraid of is a disaster of our own making," he said.
Mohd Noor urged detractors to give him a chance to explain his stand, stating that it was made based on provisions under the federal constitution.
Mohd Noor's reported statements made during a forum organised by the UiTM Malaysia Alumni Association and Gabungan Melayu Semenanjung on Sunday had provoked an outcry from opposition leaders who accused him of being a racist and attempting to incite racial tension.
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had likened his statements to the sentiments of the Ku Klux Klan and Adolf Hitler.
Leaders from both sides of the divide have since called on the police to investigate Mohd Noor for sedition.
"For the Malays, it is taboo to be betrayed because when that happens they will react, and their wrath has no limit.
"When Malays are betrayed, there is a backlash and the Chinese must bear the consequences of a Malay backlash," he was quoted as saying at the forum titled "GE13 post-mortem: Muslim leadership and survival".
The former senior judge also reportedly accused the Chinese of plotting to "seize political power" from the Malays, despite already having benefited economically from the "Malay's hand of friendship".
