Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak shows his inked finger to the media after casting his vote during the general elections in Pekan. — Reuters picPEKAN, May 5 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor cast their ballots at the Pekan parliamentary polling station at Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah here today.
Clad in white shirt, Najib, Rosmah, who was dressed in pink baju kurung, and their son, Norashman arrived at the polling centre at 9.10 am.
Najib, who is defending the Pekan seat for the 10th term, faces Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s Mohd Fariz Abdul Talib in a straight fight.
After casting their votes at 9.15 am, Najib and Rosmah mingled with the media before visiting other polling stations in the constituency.
In the 2008 general election, Najib beat PKR’s Khairul Anuar Ahmad Zainuddin by a 26,464-vote majority. — Reuters
