He said that unlike himself, the prime minister had “no courage” to sign the deal, which was physically inked shortly before Nomination Day on April 20.
“Najib said he wholly agreed (to the deal) but he did not sign it because I know he never meant to carry out the agreement,” Anwar told a press conference here.
“He agreed, he claims to be a man of honour but he had no courage to even sign the deal.”
Details of the agreement were first revealed by the Wall Street Journal last Saturday in a report quoting Jusuf as accusing Anwar of reneging on the pre-polls peace treaty.
