Man on wheelchair votes as he doesn't want the country to suffer his fate.
[KUALA LUMPUR: A wheelchair bound senior citizen who made his way to the polling station early today believes that the country needs urgent changes.
"The country is crippled and it needs to rise and walk," said S Karunakaran, adding that he did not want the nation to be like him – crippled and unable to rise and walk.
Karunakaran, a Seputeh voter, said the country needed transformation and that was what drove him to the polling centre today.
"I don't want our future generation to be denied of opportunities, and everyone should be treated equally."
"My advise to every individual voter is for you to think wisely before you vote."
Karukaran, who also has heart disease and diabetes, felt changes in the government will lead to good policies and procedures for the betterment of the future.
