KUALA LUMPUR - Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and his wife, Tengku Datin Seri Marsilla Tengku Abdullah, were left shocked and dazed yesterday after the helicopter they were in toppled over on its side.
The incident occurred at 3.30pm when Hishammuddin and his wife had just returned to Kuala Lumpur from Johor in a chartered flight after casting their votes.
After the helicopter landed at the police air field in Sungai Besi, strong crosswinds caused the craft to topple over on its side.
Nobody was injured in the accident which left the home minister and his wife slightly shaken and dazed.
"With God's blessings my family and I are all safe. We are really touched by the outpouring of concern and prayers.
"We were unable to reply all (the messages)," the home minister tweeted.
The helicopter, that had ferried Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and his wife from Johor, lying on its side at the police air field in Sungai Besi yesterday.
