Cheeky Way to Intensify Blame Game?

The taxpayers paid film 'Tanda Putera' is finally going to be shown on Aug 29 and the reason according to our Com & Multimedia Minister is the controversy has ended and the general elections are over the film should be screened.

One isn't sure what controversy has ended, the artistic interpretation of the event or that they found the DNA traces of the famous pee that was done at the moment in the movie than a historical fact - had either confirmed  or disclaimed the identity of the the pee-er.

Since it is a movie, it is probably as believable as the Yank's version of Black Hawk Down of the role of our BolehLand boys in rescuing the Yank's butts hah!

Depending on which media you read of this announcement of the public screening, the government's organ NST reported it as a patriotic film on 3 June in its online news. The opposition and the political party that has been artistically blamed for causing it calls it a controversial fiction movie.

If it's a fiction movie, no need to go off the handle and wet your pants screaming at the falsehood shown in the movie, right?

But to call it patriotic, who are the patriots in the movie? Why is it patriotic if it claims to be an artistic movie at all? Is it endorsing it as a  historical movie and a factual one at that because it has BN's support and blessings?

Is the movie a visual version of the BTN book syllabus where the government of the day dictates how the present, future and past events are as deemed fitting their agenda? History has proven those in power have very often written and rewritten their own his-story of the past as a sort of shioksendiri and glorification of the ruling regime. In BolehLand's case these days to sanctify the ruling regime as the legitimate and only ruler ad infinitum?

This rather poor argument of allowing the public to make up their own mind is like asking North Korea Uncle Kim's youths to make up their mind about watching a Hollywood war movie extolling US victories in battle against communists hah! How to disown the movie as fiction and a lie if many of us allowed the government to 'own' and control our mind using fear, intimidation and the education system amongst others huh?

How can you make a fair judgement of the movie if you have a slanted bias view of the event? The creator of Tanda has not even mentioned to the public other sources' versions of the event, such as Dr Kua's May 13 book. Our students do not even study the subject objectively, so how can they make up their minds objectively? It's like you are given ONE cupcake to taste and then ask to decide if it is good or the best huh?

The truth, the real truth of why the film was made at all using taxpayer's monies is never revealed. If the truth is not revealed, why should the public be asked to believe the film is about a historical truth and patriotic movie at that huh?

Supposedly the Pakatan fellos decide to produce their own version of May 13, will it ever pass the censor board FINAS? Given the wild wild west way the new Home Minister sheriff is going about to bring law and order, hey it won't be a surprise the whole crew and everyone involved in the production or watching it will be accused of sedition and hurled behind bars hah!

Since GE13, the race blame game has not abated and the Cina-kui bashing seems to have the blessing of even the remnants MCA supposedly champion of the Cinaapeks who have gone on a sour grapes retreat. Is screening it one of the smart strategy proposed by the highly paid foreign PR bois of Putrajaya as an antidote to heal and reconcile this fractured nation, courtesy of our leaders and politicians huh?

Is the screening of Tanda Putera sending a signal and a cheeky sign of evoking a larger segment of the population to intensify the blame game for the ruling regime's GE13 loss? The government who used taxpayers' monies to fund and produced the movie cannot claim it is a commercial movie and it needs to be screened for the producers to reclaim their money?
So if it is a patriotic film and funded by the government why not a free screening? Would you spend your hard earned money to watch another propaganda movie? As if we folks are not getting enough of it like every other and every 24 by 7 at every corner of BolehLand, including when you are pee-ing too huh? Are the other movies so boring and not entertaining we have no other movie to watch and select to watch this instead?

Or are we so hungry for the truth to find it in the movie?

The pee-ing part of the movie seems to receive so much attention that will be the saving grace of the million ringgit movie and remembered by millions. Think men's restroom sign and you will be reminded of the Tanda movie we can supposed, right?

So will I watch it? my colleagues asked.
Nope because there isn't anything artistic about looking at someone pee-ing which seemed to be the highlight of this artistic production huh?

Will it increase or lessen one's patriotism if one watches it? Not at all because even after 55 years and showing someone pee-ing, over 50% have shown their patriotism by deciding not to believe all the ruling regime's patriotic deeds seen as propaganda by the common folks. So it is likely there won't be any thunder the producers of the movie hope to create in this Tanda Putera.
Is the screening a cheeky way to intensify the blame game? Or, it is just satu lagi projek barisan nasional of waste and wishful thinking like the strategic ambiguous 1Malaysia concept, that we are like rural folks to think it is a Pandora movie (pardon to the artistic talents of the movie and James Cameron) and believe it is real or depicting facts of a historical event, still buried under the OSA.

If the movie is supposed to convey historical truth, why still prevent its study huh? - YAHMEH!!!
