Dhamendran's family wants KL CID chief hauled up

The family of custodial death victim N Dhamendran wants action against Kuala Lumpur CID chief Ku Chin Wah for his initial statement on her husband’s alleged murder.

The victim’s widow Marry Mariay Susay (centre in photo) said Ku’s statement on May 22 contradicts the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) pathologist’s report.

“Me and my family believe that (Ku’s) statement was made with malicious intent to cover up the case of my husband’s murder,” she said in her report at the Bukit Aman police headquarters.

The day after Dhamendran was found dead in a lockup on May 21, Ku was reported attributing the death to “breathing difficulties”.
