DAP chairman Karpal Singh wants the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to stop disclosing the outcome of investigation until everything is completed.
He said the disclosure was not supposed to happen and hopes that ROS was able to complete the investigation against the party before Dewan Rakyat sits on June 24.
"We have cooperated with ROS and all documents have been sent. So we ask ROS to stop disclosing the outcome and immediately wrap up the investigation," he told reporters here yesterday.
When asked what if DAP was declared invalid, Karpal said that it was not a problem as the party could be re-registered like what Umno did.
"We may be forced to become independents but all DAP Members of Parliament will remain in power in Penang as we have the support of PAS and PKR."
He reiterated that former DAP vice-president Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim should stop issuing statements slamming the DAP leadership.
