“The incident is a reminder to us all that crime is a serious problem in our country.
“This problem is something that is real, not at all perception.
“I hope that all victims of crime and others remain steadfast, and to all, be always vigilant of your own and your family’s safety,” said Khairy on his Facebook page last night.

Kuala Lumpur police had confirmed that a minister's home had been ransacked by thieves.
However, the minister's identity was not revealed.
It was later learnt that the bungalow belongs to Khairy’s mother and that Khairy and his wife were residing there, but were not in at the time of the robbery.
According to Kuala Lumpur CID chief Ku Chin Wah, the incident happened about 5.30pm on Saturday.
The police and even the previous home minister Hishammuddin Hussein have repeatedly denied that crime is a serious problem in the country, attributing negative sentiments about the situation to the people’s "perception".
