SEBERANG PERAI, June 15, 2013 -- The Youth and Sports Ministry is urging youths not to waste time at any political rally.
Its Deputy Minister, Datuk M. Saravanan (pic), said the youth today are more mature and they can decide what is right or wrong. "What is important for the youth now, is economic empowerment and not wasting time in the politically motivated rally," he told reporters after launching the National Youth Festival, Penang chapter, here today.
He was commenting on youth participation in the Black 505 rally which is expected to be held at Padang Merbok, next Saturday.
He said the youths should not believe blindly the claims by the opposition. "The rally is organised to benefit certain individuals and youths must think before participating to avoid any untoward incident," he said. - Bernama
