PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli today alleged that a prominent deputy minister was among those who benefited from an exercise to hand the construction of the Tapah UiTM campus to a private concessionaire.
Rafizi (left) claimed that the deputy minister holds a minority share in the concession company, which is registered in Kuala Lumpur, and also has his daughter and a close business associate sitting on the board of directors.
This revelation was one of six UiTM campuses that Rafizi had promised exposes on regarding a privatisation exercise, which has ballooned construction costs of the campuses by at least four times.
After previously revealing that Umno leaders were linked to the concessions of four UiTM campuses, this is the fifth campus that Rafizi has targeted.
His final expose will be about the Kota Samarahan UiTM campus, to be revealed tomorrow.
