THE DAY THE WORLD CHANGED FOREVER

Within a month, Europe would be at war.
Within a year, the Anzac legend would be forged on the shores of Gallipoli as the conflict would spread to far-flung corners of the globe.

They called it “The Great War” and “The War to End All Wars”. Today, historians simply refer to it as World War I.
But how did it start? How did the assassination of the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne trigger the worst conflict the world had ever seen?
