"See? I told you everybody loves you," Nur Diyana Yazeera Yezli, 15, tweeted this afternoon.
The teen who had just lost her mother, MH17 chief stewardess Dora Shahila Kassim on Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 sent out the tweets after meeting Datuk Seri Najib Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Omar for three hours this afternoon at Seri Perdana.
Her tweets expressed her gratitude for the invitation and reflected her excitement.
One tweet read: "Just got back from the Prime Minister's house. He personally took the time to sit down with me and gave good advice. And I thank you".
Another read: "'We are going to take care of you. No matter what.' – Datuk Seri Najib and family".
Diyana tweeted that the three-hour session with Najib and Rosmah touched her and that she never thought it would be so motivational.
She also posted several photographs of the meeting, including one of Najib bending over to inspect the iPad he had bought for her, before tweeting him to say thank you for having her at his home.
Like any typical teen, Diyana seemed eager to share her experience with friends, tweeting to one girl that she will tell her more at school and to another girl that she now knows how hard it is to lead a country.
Diyana was active on Twitter up to the early morning hours today, tweeting that it was almost "sahur" and she had still not slept.
Shortly later, she tweeted: "I am thankful for what I have" and "2014 is by far the worst year for me".
This was all just a few hours before she was to meet the King and Queen at the Marriot Hotel in Putrajaya with other MH17 families. The royal couple was meeting the families of the victims to speak to them and extend their condolences.
The bespectacled Diyana also posted on Twitter two photos of herself in a pale pink baju kurung, the outfit she was wearing to meet the royal couple, and Najib and Rosmah. The second photo showed her wearing eyeliner.
Diyana made the news recently when she took her grief to the social media. Despite having lost her mother, who was a single parent, the teen touched many by showing how strong she was in handling her mother’s tragic death.
The girl, who is an only child, continued to interact with other Twitter users, writing about how she is doing and expressing her feelings.
She also directed her tweets to her late mother several times, like Maira Elizabeth Nari – the daughter of MH370 chief steward Andrew Nari – who went on Twitter to share her grief when her father's plane vanished on March 8.
Two days ago, The Malaysian Insider reported that Diyana had vowed to make sure her mother will not be forgotten.
"Don’t worry mum. Nobody will ever forget you. I promise. Al fatihah," she posted through her Instagram account, with a picture of them together.
One post read: "My mum, the swaggiest mum in the world. Love you mummy. Al fatihah," while another read, "Mummy, only Allah knows how much I miss you right now."
