World media tracking Malaysian diplomat's sex attack saga

World media tracking M'sian diplomat's sex attack saga
Major news agencies from around the world began reporting overnight on yesterday's revelations the foreign diplomat who fled sexual assault charges in New Zealand is Malaysian.
Malaysian news outlets have been critical over the scandal, with The Sun, Malaysia's highest circulated English newspaper, accusing its government of being "two-faced".
Muhammad Bin Ismail, 38, is accused of burglary and assault with the intent to rape a young woman in Wellington. He was detained on May 9, charged on May 10, and returned home with his family on May 22.
The story is the most read across all major Malaysian newspaper websites, with particular focus on the Malaysian government's handling of the situation.
New Zealand and Malaysia have made contradictory statements about offers to waive diplomatic immunity.
