Caught on camera: 'Customer' steals shopowner's iPad

A man pretending to be a customer stole a garment store owner's iPad in a Malaysian bazaar.

CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral, with many netizens slamming the man for his actions.

The clip starts with the man pretending to be interested in the items on display and asking the shop owner to show him multiple pieces of clothing.

Though he looks like an interested customer, this is merely a ruse to distract the owner.

When she turns to tend to another customer, he quickly swipes the iPad.
