The Malaysian diplomat at the centre of a sex scandal could soon be before the New Zealand courts.
According to the Malaysia Star, the country's foreign ministry has given the go-ahead for Muhammed Rizalman to be sent back, but is now waiting on an official request from New Zealand.
Rizalman was accused of burglary and assault with intent to rape 21-year-old Tania Billingsley at her Wellington home earlier this year.
However he flew back to Malaysia after invoking diplomatic immunity. -Newstalkzb.co.nz
