DR M CAMP CALCULATES NAJIB'S CHANCES: 5 scenarios to end Najib's political crisis

DR M CAMP CALCULATES NAJIB'S CHANCES: 5 scenarios to end Najib's political crisis
TEUKU Adnan bin Teuku Mansor called Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad "the green-eyed monster". Literally means the monster with green eyes.
Green-eyed monster or not, conventional wisdom says that Dr. Mahathir is more reliable and more popular than Teuku Adnan.
I apologize for using the term Teuku and not Tengku or Tunku because it has been a long time since he was transformed into a "Tengku Adnan", where his original name is Teuku Adnan. That is his title when I first knew him as a businessman in the early 1980s.
[Teuku is the title of nobility or royalty for the men who rule the Acehnese province or state. Teuku is a warrior or ‘Ulee balang’ in Aceh. Just like other patriarchal cultural traditions, the ‘Teuku’ title could be bestowed on a boy, when his father was also called Teuku. A Tengku can also turn into Teuku, when the registration was transferred from the religious department to administration department or otherwise.]
Unfortunately, those of us who think and analyze the political crisis of (Datuk Seri) Mohd Najib Abdul Razak based on conventional wisdom will get lost because he and his propaganda machinery have set aside conventional wisdom.

But those of us who still hold on and believe in "conventional wisdom", we have a number of methods that could be used to understand and resolve the plaguing issues that we face today. Among them:
1. Mohd Najib may choose to stay afloat by using his executive power imposed onto the administrative system. But the government and the country's economy will continue to be in limbo due to lower government credibility. Umno and Barisan Nasional will be paralyzed and the opposition will have a huge advantage in capitalizing on these issues in the next general election.
2. Those against Mohd Najib could use the legislative powers to force him to go through a vote of no confidence in parliament. Members of the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) of the BN coalition and opposition parties can create a bi-partisan group to submit a vote of no confidence against him or through the deputation to the Council of the Malay Rulers.
3. The mass movement may use civil disobedience safely and legally in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela to force his resignation.
4. Using the judicial channels. Public opinion and conventional wisdom say that there is already sufficient evident to convict him in court related to the "donation" by RSC International and the RM2.6 billion in his personal accounts.

5. The dignified and secure way out for Mohd Najib is negotiating a safe passage where he will not be charged in court on condition that he resigns. But this is coveted by the opposition because it would give them the issues to capitalize on in the next general election.
The fifth method is not new in the history of Malaysia but it has never involved a Prime Minister.
Many political leaders from the ministers, the Chief Ministers and members of parliament resigned to avoid being dragged into court on charges of bribery, abuse of power and breach of trust.
But there are also Umno / BN supreme leaders who chose to go to court rather than resign voluntarily. Some were convicted and some cases were discarded by the court.
How the chips will fall ...
In conclusion, Mohd Najib can choose to survive using the political power and money to win the hearts of the Umno leaders and members of the cabinet or blackmail those who have skeletons hanging in their closets.
He can use the administrative power to buy the loyalty of civil servants or exert pressure on them as was done to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
PM Najib
Unfortunately, the problems of the ordinary people would not be dealt with effectively because the focus of the Prime Minister is to save himself first and the fact that the government has lost public confidence.
For the anti-Najib group, in particular members of the legislative body, they agree that he should be removed for the sake of the survival of the country but they do not have the political will to collude and bring him down through the vote of no confidence.
While in the case of the elites in Umno and BN, hypocrisy is the keyword in describing them; they will praise and worship in front of Najib but cursing and condemning him at the back. However the brave voices of the members of the grassroots have started asking Mohd Najib to resign have already been heard in the Umno division annual general meetings. - http://kadirjasin.blogspot.com/
