Malaysians must be really very sick in their head. And just as immune in their hearts. A Cabinet minister calls them “mad” for not celebrating over the falling Ringgit to a close 4.0 to the US dollar and Malaysians just smile happily over the demeaning remark.
In any other politically mature nation of responsible citizenry, by now there would be a mass protest in front of the implicated minister’s premise and even burning of effigies demanding that the minister apologizes and is immediately sacked from his ministerial post.
While we do not have to call for such drastic action, we also do recall how Umno bandied its warriors to unleash upon the civil society iconic leader Datuk Ambiga not so long ago with vulgar acts of bum wriggling in front of her residence.
Taking the Tourism Minister’s proclamation as gospel truth, i.e. that the falling Ringgit is good for the nation, we should then ask all the nations across the globe to crash their currency. It is good for earning tourist money and helps the countries progress.
Speak like a man, not a gangster
Hello Nazri, why can you not speak like a career politician and earn the respect of the rakyat? Why do you keep speaking and spewing profanities at the citizens like a street cowboy?
Well Malaysians we need to put back some dignity on our national demographic image. The citizens of Malaysia must prove that they are not “mad”. Silence is not the option.
The least that the captain of the new Cabinet can do is to publicly reprimand his chosen Tourism minister. That is the sane way forward. But if Najib sweetly smiles behind his infamous silence trademark, then will Malaysians just retreat without demanding remedial action?
Or on second thoughts is this all part and parcel of a hidden strategy to smack the citizens on their face (maruah really) with the hope to push through a junta-like operative?
