NICE TRY BUT NO WAY SALLEH! Wait for elections to get rid of Najib

KOTA KINABALU - People will just have to wait until the next election and decide their sets of leaders.

Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, in saying this, however, pointed out that for now, the present government should be allowed to carry out all its promises to the people until the next election.

“The present government has been given the mandate and should be allowed to fulfill promises made to the rakyat,” he said at a simple ceremony held for staff of his ministry here this evening.

Salleh said while it was not wrong to have differences in opinions since Malaysia is a democratic country. The people, however, should not adopt the culture of cursing others who do not share their views.

“Even if you can’t agree, keep it to yourself and look at the performance of the government until the time comes for you to make your.decision.

“That would be the time where we can make our comparisons and choices,” he said, alluding to elections.

The former Chief Minister added that those who indulged in the ‘cursing’ culture, especially with those who disagreed with them, only created problems and rifts which would weaken the political stability of the country.

“We need to come to a stage where we can respect one another despite having differences in opinion. If we practise this, there will be no problem even with differences in ideas and views.” - Therakyatpost
