Police have recorded a statement from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's former political aide, Matthias Chang today, lawyer Ahmad Bazlan Che Kassim said.
Chang, who had recently accompanied former Umno leader Datuk Khairuddin Abu Hassan overseas to lodge police reports on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), spent nearly an hour at the Dang Wangi police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
This follows police investigations on the sacked Umno Batu Kawan deputy chief who is currently detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).
Chang, said Bazlan, would have to return to the same police headquarters on Friday at 10am.
"He had his statement recorded as a witness on the allegations made against Khairuddin."
